ImageX and All Covered – A 10 Year Mutual Partnership

All Covered recently celebrated its 10 year partnership with one of its first clients, ImageX by presenting a custom-made cake and plaque to Stan Poitras, General Manager, and the employees at ImageX. As a surprise to its primary consultant, Kennis Chukwu, ImageX employees presented him with gift certificates as a token of their appreciation for all his hard work on the many projects and support he has provided throughout the years.

As a leading commercial print brokerage firm, located in Pleasanton, California, ImageX has provided quality printed products for the past 20 years. They do everything from conceptual design to final mailing services as well as promotional items with a team of highly experienced print professionals.

All Covered started providing IT services to ImageX in January 1998. Initially, All Covered started supporting ImageX with desktop, hardware and end user support for their Novell environment. As ImageX grew from approximately 10 employees to nearly double that in the past decade, All Covered has continued to provide the same preventative support it did in the early days, but has helped implement numerous new technologies to keep ImageX competitive, up-to-date and a nimble print services company. As new services such as remote monitoring and spam and virus protection were introduced, ImageX took advantage of these to increase productivity, improve stability and reduce downtime.

“All Covered has been a great IT provider for us. We have enjoyed working with them for the last 10 years,” said Stan. “They have a great team of consultants and client operations representatives. We are very pleased with their professionalism, their technical expertise and their great customer support.”

Some of the major projects that All Covered has helped implement in the last decade include:

  • Migrating from a Novell operating system to the Microsoft platform
  • Upgrading the entire physical network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewall) to keep up with their growth
  • Standardizing on the single desktop operating system (they had a mixture of Windows NT4, 95, 98, 2000 systems) and Microsoft Office and Exchange 2003
  • Upgrading the server platform for their main CRM/Print operations application (SYSPRO) and working with the software vendor for a smooth cutover to the new application
  • Upgrading the entire desktop environment to more robust machines
  • Integrating with the parent company’s (FedEx Kinko’s) mail system and backend systems
  • Migrating all users to a new domain name
  • Upgrading the remote access services so the accounting organization in Dallas could connect to the headquarters and prepare for future expansion outside the Bay Area

ImageX has been assisting All Covered since 1998 with the design and printing of its business cards, letterhead, envelopes, marketing materials such as datasheets and brochures, as well large size posters, banners and a myriad of other promotional materials. They understand that All Covered provides quality service and wants that reflected in the employee and client-facing materials - ImageX makes that a reality with their professional approach to design and printing.
