Email Protection Service provides you with spam, virus and phishing filtering and protection. This service is powered by Postini, the leader in integrated message management. This service protects your users from virus-borne email attacks, productivity-killing spam and potential identity theft from phishing scams. In addition, your network and mail server are protected from Directory Harvest Attacks (DHA) and Denial of Service attacks (DoS), because the protection is applied before it reaches your network.

Un-clog the Network

All incoming mail goes through the system and legitimate email is passed through directly to your users' email inbox. Viruses, phishing scams and suspect email are automatically quarantined, while other types of blatant attacks are blocked so they will not clog your network. Each user has a web-based quarantine that can be checked, in case a valid email has been stopped. You can also "teach" the service to be more effective on a per user basis by adding those users or domains that should always pass through (white list) or permanently blocking users or domains (black list). The service is customizable to your company – do certain users get more spam than others? If so, settings can be applied to your entire company, a department or certain users.

Prevent "Mail Server Not Found"

In the event that your email server is unreachable, Email Protection Service will automatically spool or queue your email, until the email server is once again reachable. That saves your customers, partners or vendors from getting "mail server not found" or email bounces in the event of an outage.
